Alan has been with the Guardian Group based in Trinidad and Tobago since December 2015, joining Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited as Vice President, Finance. A􀅌er three years in this role, he was promoted to Group Vice President, Insurance Opera􀆟ons, where he held responsibility for many opera􀆟onal projects, most notably the roll out of digital transforma􀆟on within the Guardian Group.

Alan is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and an MBA graduate from Cranfield University. A􀅌er spending 30 years in England, he garnered a wealth of experience and knowledge, having held several senior posi􀆟ons in finance, investments, back-office opera􀆟ons, and treasury. On his return to Trinidad and Tobago in 2013 and prior to joining the Guardian Group, Alan accepted the positon of Finance Director at Ansa Merchant Bank Limited, following which he was appointed to Group Chief Financial Officer of ANSA McAl Limited a􀅌er one year.

Alan then became President of Guardian Shared Services Limited in September 2022 and now leads the charge in developing a new shared services structure that provides back-office insurance services to the Guardian Group’s Life, Health and Pensions (LHP) companies in Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Barbados. This new structure has brought tremendous opportuni􀆟es to enhance customer experience through shared opera􀆟ng processes across the Group’s LHP businesses, as well as create opera􀆟onal efficiencies with updated processes and automa􀆟on. This new direc􀆟on is aligned to the Group’s commitment to building a global organisa􀆟on, through posi􀆟ve interac􀆟ons powered by technology.
