Gayan is the head of data and technology in the Chief Digital Office of UNDP. He leads the implementation of UNDP’s Data Strategy. He was with UNDP HQ in New York and UN SDG Action Campaign in Bonn, Germany leading knowledge management, data and digital campaigns. He was the digital strategist of the first ever UN global campaign to collect people’ voices to shape the 2030 agenda and large-scale UN consultations such as RIO+20, Habitat3, World Humanitarian Summit and UN75 which engaged over millions of people and policy experts worldwide.
