November 30 - December 1
Data science can unlock unparalleled insights and respond to local development needs of Trinidad and Tobago, including Big Data analytics that complement official data and statistics. Importantly, it embraces the vision, principles and priorities of the UN Secretary General’s Data Strategy 2020 - 2022, and the modernization of local data ecosystems. The second edition of the Forum builds on the platform of the transformational potential of Big Data established at the inaugural forum. It explores Big Data science, education, and the readiness of Trinidad and Tobago and the wider Caribbean to solve big data challenges; how newer big data technologies can be harnessed to develop more efficient sectors and data ecosystems; and the science of software technologies, distributed parallel processing frameworks and web-based software. The second Forum is proposed as a virtual two-day event, November 30 - December 1, 2021 with a mix of panel discussions, keynotes, and case study presentations.
